Upload a File to your Ning Social Network.

June 27th, 2008 by · 7 Comments

If you have a Ning Social Network you will find that there is no easy place to upload a file to your Ning profile or the pages. There is no file depository or folder system that is accessible by the user, or even network administrators or creators.

The easiest way that I have found to upload a file to Ning is to create a comment on the Ning Social Network site that you are working on, and attach a file to that comment. You can even delete the comment after making it, and still have the file on the server.

Below is a video tutorial showing you how to do it:

Let us know if you have any other ideas with working with Ning Social Networks below in the comments.

Good luck playing with your Ning …

It’s so neat to ask ‘the net’ a question and get an answer!

    Hi!

That’s a good idea for uploading files, but I cannot see how the users will download them… In the case of music, you’ve got the song reproducing on the player, but is there any chance to download the mp3 file?

I would appreciate it so much if you could give me an answer… whetever there’re good or bad news!

    Thanks a lot

This is a really cool work around. I have been trying to make this happen forever and nothing worked (including WebDAV).

Why isn’t there a file depository? This is a big deal for our group, and without it, it makes things really difficult for most users who barely know how to navigate email, much less trying to figure out how to access a PDF.
